But the whole point of Gire's meditation was not lost on me: too often we stay stuck in a Good Friday world... where there is no room for miracles, or bold belief in the Good News of the resurrection. In this way we are all bent low to the ground, shuffling through our daily grind, hoping for, but not really believing in, a change of heart in ourselves or our fellow man.
