Thorns
I am the one the stars are ashamed of
All because of what I've become
Going my own way...
These words were the ones that stood out the most for me in this chapter. Of course stars don't have feelings. But I started wondering how angels perceive us. Do they understand God's love for us? Are they shocked and outraged by our determination to go our own way....to do our own thing? Do angels turn away from us?Do they wonder why God is so patient with us...why He is still seeking us?
This evening I am tired. And this chapter didn't lift my spirits. Under the curse....the description fits our reality so often. And the thorns dig deep. I thank God the story doesn't end here...

Like you, I'm glad the story doesn't end there.
I pray you will be more rested tomorrow. Father, multiply Andrea's rest so she will wake energized for a new day from You. In Your Son's Name I pray, Amen.

I also wonder about the angels thoughts of us.
I haven't read the chapter yet, but love your comments.

Thanks Pilot Mom, I did have a good night's sleep and feel 'ready to go' today. :-)
kpjara, Thanks! *grin*

who's to say that the stars dont have feelings, or is it that we are just too arrogant to process such a thought (I like to play devils advocate sometimes)
I dont think Ive ever really thought about how the angels must feel - interesting thing to ponder over

I don't think we're so arrogant as it just doesn't seem to be true in our reality. If someone can show me how a star may 'feel' without a brain, heart or soul... I'm open to it! *grin*

I've wondered about the angels and what they think of all of us too but I imagine they are just happy to serve God however they can (unlike us!) and just go about their business.
I got stuck on that line also, Andrea. I hate that we weren't on the planet but a miniscule moment in time and already we were challenging God. We can be so arrogant!

I thoroughly believe that everything has its own "praise language" to God - not just that by being beautiful it points to a Creator.... but that the stars actually do sing praises to God, we just arent privy to hear them... :)
