And That's The End of That
Alrighty then, time for the moderator to step in to this...
CJ, don't you DARE delete your post from yesterday. This book club is about expressing all of our opinions - no matter what they are. If you read a chapter in this book and feel the overwhelming need to convert to joining an underground cult because it has turned your heart in a whole new direction, then you must feel free to state that here or we are no better off than if we lived in China where freedom of religion is out of the question.
One of the reasons this book club has been so successful so far is because we all have felt free to say what we believe and have it met with open minds.
That said...
Gayla and Claire, you know how I feel about both of you but if someone else believes something different - even if it is not in direct line with what you believe to be the truth of the matter - you are welcome and encouraged to say so. Once your opinion is stated and your comment entered then that should be the end of it. If you wish to email that person and continue the discussion, feel free to do so. I watched this get going yesterday but wasn't in a place where I could sit and read every comment and respond at the time (yes, they do occasionally make me do work around here) but I was worried about the direction it was taking and told Claire so last night.
Going forward - stating your opinion ONCE to a specific discussion point will be the rule UNLESS the original poster encourages you to give them more information or invites the discussion to continue - Period. If that does not happen, I trust you will let well enough go and realize that everyone is on THEIR walk with God. You've done the Christian thing by leading them to additional information ONCE and that should be enough. If we can't feel free to express our deepest, heartfelt views on things here, there is really is no point in continuing any of this.
CJ, as a member and originator of this book club, I value your opinion on all the matters we've discussed to date. I am actually somewhere between the limits of where youare and where Claire/Gayla sit on this matter so there's another opinion on the fence now, truth be told. I'm sure as I walk the walk some more I'll find myself leaning more to one side or the other of this issue, but then again, maybe not. I trust that God will illuminate me where He sees fit and will hopefully use all those around me to make His will known (which is the reason we started doing this in the first place - to experience differing views on religious topics.) Until that time, if I or anyone else does not feel free to state their opinions here then we really all should pack up and call it a day.
I trust we're all in agreement here?

I see no problem with what you have stated, Jules. I look forward to continuing our chapter discussions. 'Nuff said. :)
